HALOTEK Fork Mounted Indicators – installation guide and advice 
 
 Do not attempt installation if temperature of the indicator is below 20°C. If it is, warm up the indicator material in your hands or with a hairdryer slightly. Otherwise, there is a possibility of the material cracking. 
Do not power up the indicators while they are not mounted on the forks, as the light sources may overheat and become damaged. The forks work as heat sinks for the indicators.
Do not overstretch or bend the indicator – simply open it up enough to fit on the fork. 
After installing check for collision with any other parts of the motorcycle – slowly move the steering in both directions. Adjust if necessary. 
Do not overtighten the thumb screw as it may break or damage the indicator. The thread size is M5x0.8, and thumb screws may be replaced with any bolts of that size if needed. 
Enough tension is when the indicator doesn’t move easily when pushed by hand. Check the tension after 24h and adjust if necessary. 
Make sure the power cable is free and will not be damaged by moving the steering. 
Connect RED (+) to positive, and BLACK (-) to negative, check for correct operation. 
The operating voltage of the indicators is 11-15V DC. They will not light up properly below 11V and they will become damaged over 15V. 
If your motorcycle is not equipped with a flasher relay designed to work with LED indicators, the indicators may flash quicker than normal or not work at all. Upgrade the flasher relay or the indicators may get damaged. 
The indicators may have a slightly visible square-grid on them – it’s the part of the production process. They also may show finger marks on them – they’re produced by me and assembled by hand.
